Bascuas I.

The original base for the Moeurs Foundation, Bascuas I is perched on a hill overlooking the exact spot the sun sets over the Atlantic ocean. Bascuas beach is located in the natural paradise of the Rias Baixas, an area famed for its coastline, vineyards, wineries and nature reserves. 

Bascuas I was designed by local architects with the foundation in mind: it consists of a main central building and three separate blocks integrated into the natural incline of the land. We practice conservation and contribute to the protection of our environment. Our primary energy source comes from aerothermal and solar energy. Respectful of the environment around us, our energy consumption system does not generate pollution. We offer nature, organic food and ecological awareness through workshops, exhibition activities and a residency program.
