About us

Mœurs is a cultural platform rooted in collaboration, sustainability, and shared knowledge. We support creative and critical work across the arts, sciences, and humanities, guided by a humanist vision and grounded in care, integrity, and curiosity.

Founded as a space to connect personal inquiry with collective action, Mœurs brings together artists, researchers, educators, and communities to explore meaningful responses to local and global challenges—from cultural heritage and vernacular architecture to AI ethics, community resilience, and sustainable design.

A note from the founder

Mœurs began as a deeply personal journey—a way to give form to questions I’ve carried with me throughout my life. From early fieldwork in post-conflict regions to a PhD research in Social Anthropology, and through decades of engagement with the United Nations, I’ve been shaped by the stories, knowledge systems, and resilience of communities navigating complexity and change.

The initiatives housed within Mœurs—whether a home built in dialogue with nature, a residency program, or a line of research into AI and ethics—are not isolated projects. They are chapters in a continuous process, one that blends research, lived experience, and collaborative creation. Each reflects an effort to listen more carefully to the world and respond with depth and responsibility.

For over thirty-five years, my professional life has been rooted in the continuum between local realities and global frameworks. Through sustained work with the UN, and academic teaching and research at institutions like IE University, Sorbonne-Pantheon and MIT, I’ve sought to bridge systems thinking with grounded human insight. Mœurs is where these paths converge—not as a finished vision, but as a living, growing ecosystem supported by many others who share the same values.

This platform is not mine alone. It continues through the contributions of fellow researchers, artists, architects, students, and communities who have trusted, challenged, and enriched this path along the way. Thank you for being part of it.
